Reunion 2012

Groton’s campus was abuzz this past weekend as about 500 people—alumni from form years ending in 2 and 7 and their families—gathered to celebrate the 2012 Reunion.

Demonstrating Groton’s lasting bonds, nine members of the Form of 1947 and their spouses reunited on campus for the event. Attracting the largest groups of formmates were the Forms of 2007 (44), 2002 (32), 1962 (30), 1987 (29), and 1992 (28).

Alumni had plenty of time to catch up with friends at dinners and receptions. They also attended a session on the School’s STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) initiative, discussed the search for a successor to the headmaster, watched an alumnus’ award-winning documentary, took a behind-the-scenes campus tour, went birdwatching, honored the recipient of the Cui Servire Award, attended the first induction ceremony for Groton’s new Athletic Hall of Fame, sung with the choir, cheered on the athletic teams, and much more. Most of all, they celebrated their Groton friendships and the teachers who helped mold them into adults.
